Betsy Ross, from the "Women of Renown Collection", was a colonial seamstress. I have dressed her in floral printed paper twist and trimmed her elbow length sleeve with lace. Her dress is seamed, has a lace covered bodice with a lacy bow in back and she wears a white apron. Her brown hair is parted in the center and afixed in the back and she wears a mobcap of white tissue twist. I have used red, white and blue fabric to begin the flag that she has designed and it will be a work in progress (rather than the finished flag). She is sewing on the 6th of 13 stars. All of my "Women of Renown" dolls are made of wood, wire, lace, doll hair, miniature accessories and paper twist ribbon. This doll is approximately 9.5" tall and her name and dates appear on the bottom.
