Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile, from the "Women of Renown Collection", has a very "gold" costume. Her gown is blue and gold mesh fabric and her cape is metallic gold paper twist ribbon. She has a wide gold belt which is afixed with a "scarab" clasp. Her hair is long, jet black and crimped and her tiara-like head piece is made of gold trim with a cobra head centered in the front. The necklace consists of many small pieces afixed on a crocheted gold thread, and yes, she is holding the deadly "asp". Her cobra head, asp, scarab and necklace are hand sculpted, baked and painted modeling compound. All of my "Women of Renown" dolls are made of wood, wire, lace, doll hair, miniature accessories and paper twist ribbon. This doll is approximately 9.5" tall and her name and dates appear on the bottom.
