Maria Von Trapp, from the "Women of Renown Collection", wrote "The Trapp Family Singers " which loosely became Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved musical, "The Sound Of Music". She also wrote "Let Me Tell You About My Savior: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow". My Maria doll, is a marriage between the movie and real life Maria. I have dressed her plainly, in dark blue or burgundy and white paper twist. Her full-skirted dress is seamed and she wears an unadorned, white petticoat and apron. Her brown hair is braided across the front and hangs in waves down her back and she wears a colorful kerchief, fastened in the back. She is playing her guitar. This "Women of Renown" doll is made of wood, wire, doll hair, miniature accessories and paper twist ribbon. Maria is approximately 9.5" tall and her name and dates appear on the bottom.
