Mother Teresa, from the "Women of Renown Collection", dedicated the majority of her life to helping the poorest of the poor in India, thus gaining her the name, "Saint of the Gutters." In Calcutta, India, she founded an order of nuns, dedicated to serving the poor called, "Missionaries of Charity". She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and was beatified in 2003. My Mother Teresa doll is dressed in white paper twist, trimmed with narrow strips of navy paper twist. She wears a Crucifix on her left shoulder.
