  1. Skirt ( applied to upside down doll, from waist)
    1. gently raise the doll's arms and turn her upside down
    2. tacky 1/2" from top of every petal; set aside 5 for 2nd layer
    3. just above top of underskirt and starting center front: finger gather and afix 5 petals, overlapping edges (the 2nd & 5th petals will just meet over 1st petal center front)
    4. www-6", very tightly, fig.12
    5. with top edges touching the www on waist of underskirt", afix second layer over 1st and in between every two petals, www-6", fig.13
    6. turn doll and pull down petals, carefully, 2nd layer, then 1st layer, fig.14
    7. gently lower both arms
  2. Hair- this is complicated...take your time
    1. draw a hairline around head, with pencil
    2. divide a twenty-one and a half (21 1/2) inch tress into 3 tresses, as follows: A = 2 - 9" lengths and B = 1 - 3 1/2" length
    3. spread both A tresses, side by side and machine gather 1" from edges then and set aside.
    4. spread B tress evenly and machine gather 1" from edge. fig.15
    5. pulling up gathers slightly, hotglue B low on back of head; afix stitching over the penciled hairline fig.16
    6. As with B, pull up gathers on A (to fit) then hot glue tress along the remaining hairline pressing to afix stitches over the pencil line fig.17
    7. flip A over and B up, toward crown of head gathering all to center crown
    8. tie with quilting thread, keeping hair poofy fig.18
    9. make a small 1/8" ribbon bow and hot glue to hair hiding thread.
